Week 4 - Security Isn’t One‑Dimensional
If there’s one thing every security team will learns, it’s that threats aren't one-dimensional. Attackers poke at endpoints, slip through networks, and slide into inboxes. That’s why modern security isn’t about watching one thing, it’s about having visibility over as much as you can.
Endpoint monitoring gives oversight on laptops, servers, and mobile devices within your environment. Network monitoring helps you spot strange traffic activity before they turn into full‑blown incidents. And email monitoring? That’s your first line of defense against phishing, which is still the easiest way for attackers to get a foot in the door no matter how strong your perimeter walls are.
When you combine all three, you get a much clearer picture of what’s happening across your environment. Instead of reacting, you start catching these issues early, connecting the dots, and stopping threats before they spread. In today’s internet climate, that kind of visibility is essential.
